After a week of reorganizing and 'steadying the ship', The Bootleggers Buzz is now ready to accept new writers and take in fresh angles and ideas when reporting on the Organized Crime community. The life of a Buzz Writer can be rewarding and not short of adventure, whether you are infiltrating an emerging Mafia family for a special report, or interviewing prominent Federal officials.
We at the Buzz believe that variety is the greatest asset this paper can have, with fresh angles and approaches to reporting giving this publication the potential to be great. There is no concrete definition of what we want, but potential roles for Writers can include:
Reporters - Writing articles on events that have taken place within the last week.
Feature Writers - Writing a regular, weekly feature that is of interest to the community.
Contest Editor - Coordinates and runs contests for the Bootleggers Buzz with the supervision of the Editor.
Any idea that an applicant has will be considered and discussed at length with the Editor. Once the Buzz manages to re-access lost funds, payments will also be made to writers who produce good quality work.
You do not have to be a Pulitzer winning journalist, or a native English speaker. So long as you have the enthusiasm and the skill, we will provide the support you need with your writing!
