It has not been safe to be Crewless for quite some time, and the long-successful tactic of 'Offense being the best form of Defense' has continued well into the Current Round. Bootleggers has not seen much action or warfare between crews for quite some time and the current 'Alliance War' has now spilled over and found its way to the Crewless players among us.
Unfortunately for those affected, this style of game play forces many unaligned players to leave the game when their account is shot. There are many reasons as to why these shootings occur, but the main reason is clear. Incumbent crews are currently looking to protect and consolidate their power. With one side of the 'Alliance War' remaining in the shadows and no crew spot to lock on to, the 'On-stats' Alliance is finding themselves targeting apparently unaffiliated players in the hope they hit a valid target.
For now we can only ponder as to what the ideal solution for this problem would be. I for one think that the best approach is to either add more gang spots, or go back to hiding the Users Online. As it stands, this 'Crewless Bloodbath' appears to be causing the in-game Community and the Elite Guard a continuous headache. Will we find a happy medium, or are we forced to accept a dwindling player base due to the limited availability of gang/crew/family spots, and the lack of safety? Only time will tell.
