Telling It Like It Is UltimateDestiny

Hello and welcome all again to my weekly column. This is week number two and as I sit here to type this, a lot has happened yet again this week. Firstly, the main thing has to be the new Kill page update as well as The Order & The Rapture being wiped. I'll of course be touching on those subjects and talk a bit about Points prices as I want opinions for this issue. Last week's feedback was great and more of that would be much appreciated. No, not to feed my own e-ego, I promise but believe it or not, I'm genuinely interested in what the general BL publice opinion on certain things are.

I'd like to start things off by saying that I hope you all enjoyed Christmas Day and got everything you wanted. I wanted a mansion in the Carribean but alas, that did not happen.
So, back to BL reality, and an increase in State & Nation Don deaths lately. First I think it was ansteem3 and hvydutyhstlr and then more followed. With the new update as well, at the time of writing, we only have 5 State Dons left. Could you do a better job of staying alive than the rest? Of course this is briefly touching the point from last week about how one should use their priveleges. Now the new Kill feature has been introduced, a lot will change and I believe it will change for the better. Now people have a chance of punishing shooters, of course this means Nation/State Dons have better chances to stay alive if the bodyguards take the hit. If you automatically shoot back if you have a gun & bullets, I believe that provides the Dons with a greater chance of survival than before where two shooters were needed to take out the bodyguards and then the Don him/herself. It also means there will a removal of some perks such as 5 minute searches. I believe Sabin is/was going to make it clearer about the priveleges of the high-ranked Dons so everyone is clear. This brings me onto the Kill feature itself. Of course it will be explained much better in a separate topic in this current issue so be sure to check that out, but basically I want to impose my opinion on you since this is basically is what it's all about. I've also posted this in the IMPORTNANT thread in the Game Forum and urge you to do the same thing about your own opinion on the subject or post it in the reply box at the bottom of this article, but anyway, here it is.

Those who don't like the feature tend to have just been killed by it or haven't used it but don't like the look of it. To be honest, it may not be in best shape right now since it has just been introduced and clearly there are still things to iron out but it's made it a hell of a lot more realistic. I believe Sabin said that it was stupid how one person can wipe a Crew of possibly 50+ people in less than 10 minutes, it just wouldn't happen. Crew members are more likely to be together and if one is shot by someone, the others who may not have been found yet are likely to shoot back. It's added a new dimension to the Game in my humble opinion, a wipe/shooting has to be carefully planned to be able to tolerate failures now. With the police also getting involved, which is also what might well happen, you now have three sides and a decent battle. Sure, as I said, there are things to iron out, the inevitable bug or two, but if this feature is given the time to grow and be fully completed, I believe it will make the Game so, so much better.
Great job Sabin.

This is the fun part when I want to see whether you agree or not. I hope you have a strong opinion on it and for God's sake post it. Okay, so that was the Kill feature, now onto Points. A few months ago it must be now, points prices rose swiftly to around 600/700kpp. They then proceeded to drop back down again to 400/500kpp. With the natural progression of the Game, I thought they were expected to rise up again, however for some time now, they have remained at 400kpp and have even decreased further dropping to 360kpp and for the time being resting at 370kpp. Maybe I'm being incredibly stupid, but why? Why is it that the prices are dropping? Is it because there has been a greater influx of points into the Game thus decreasing high demand for them or what? I would have thought the general price would increase if anything, not decrease. Anyway, give me the answer to that please if you know it, but this means if you have some cash, buy, buy, buy because I feel that it will increase sometime soon leaving you the possibility of selling them later for glorious money.

Like last week, I'll quickly brush on the other events this week, namely the shootings of The Order & The Rapture. So, The Order got shot again, I'm wondering if people will ever give up on shooting them. I may be wrong but they have to be one of the Crews if not the Crew which gets shot/wiped that are regularly on the Statistics right now. I'd also like to know wy they're a good target? Let's be honest, they're usually back on Stats the next day so they don't seem to be that weak, I'm just a little confused as to why they're picked on. So, they already have their spot back, surprise, surprise and so do The Rapture, both Crews, I like. Again, they seem to be wiped when they're on Stats a lot but they always end up returning even stronger. There are some Crews, in my humble opinion, that will always be strong, regardless of ranks because of loyalty and dedication and if you're a shooter, I'd advise picking a Crew who you think wouldn't cope with losing all of their members' ranks and still come back because at the moment, I don't see that happening.

Well I think that's it for this week. More lovely ranting to come next week I think. All that's left to say is have a lovely New Year and I'll see you back in 2009. Until then, I bid you adieu.
