Building An Empire Broken

Money. It’s what makes the world... well... the Bootleggers world go round. We all want it and we do whatever we can to get it. We do crimes, Organized Crimes and gamble, maybe even score a Hitlist kill or two and many more. The more dishonest of us will scam other players. I am aiming to answer a question that may have crossed your mind once or twice, or even more if you’re penniless at the moment: how long does it take to earn money? I aim to find out.

For this I decided to look at the three most popular different money making methods, Organized Crimes, Regular Crimes and Gambling. I then set a monetary amount as a goal, and that amount was $2,500,000, the exact amount of money required to be Notoriously Rich. My aim was to find out how many days it took to reach that goal using what is available, while including things like meals, work/school and sleep.

To make the statistics easier to compile, I assigned a uniform time to the following.

Sleep: 8 Hours
Meals: 2 Hours
Work/School: 8 Hours

I also made the assumption that each player has $40,000 to start with, so that just leaves $2,460,000 for the player to earn. I was now ready to start looking into how long it would take to achieve the main goal.

First I decided to look at Gambling, I chose the first casino that came to my head. The casino I chose was Blackjack. I had a look at the Blackjack table in the state I was in and saw that the maximum bet was $300. Here is the time it takes to earn 2.5million dollars at gambling blackjack, doing nothing else. This is also considering that there are no lost bets or breakdowns of Internet/Computer.

*$2,460,000/$300 = 8,200
*Assuming that each bet takes 3 seconds, it would take 6 Hours, 50 Minutes to reach $2,500,000.
*8 Hours Sleep + 2 Hours for Meals + 8 Hours for Work/School + 6 Hours, 50 Minutes = 24h 50m

Based on the facts above, it would take you just over a day to make yourself Notoriously Rich from winning $300 bets at Blackjack. Next up was Crimes. I had to assume that the only crime available was Pickpocketing, as any rank can do that crime and the earning from each Crime was $3. Again, this is assuming there is no outside interference.

*$2,460,000/$3 = 820,000
*Assuming each crime takes 2 minutes, it would take 27,333 Hours/1138 Days/ 3.1 Years to reach $2,500,000

Based on the data above, it would take a whole 3 Years to make yourself Notoriously Rich from pickpocketing, and thats even before I start considering Meals, Work and Sleep. It is something along the lines of about 3 and a half years if all things were considered. Sounds like fun doesn’t it? Maybe looking at Organised Crime statistics will make for less mind boggling reading.

This is a simpler one to calculate than the other two, since there’s a 12 hour gap between organised crimes anyway, there’s no need to consider Work, Meals and Sleep for this. Here are the results on the time it would take to reach $2,500,000 when you are doing either one or two Organised Crimes a day.

One OC a day:

Assuming you get a 20% cut from a $240,000 1 Car OC.

*20% of $240,000 = $48,000
*$2,460,000/$48,000 = 51 (Rounded up to nearest whole number)

Two OCs a day:

Assuming you get a 20% cut from a $240,000 1 Car OC.

*20% of $240,000 = $48,000
*$48,000*2 = $96,000
*$2,460,000/$96,000 = 26 (Rounded up to nearest whole number)

It is obvious from what is written above that committing organised crimes are the best way of making money and by a long shot, crimes are the worst. Just think, it could take you just over 3 weeks to make yourself wealthy, and that’s not considering things such as Bootlegging, donations, points, bank interest or combining different money-making methods. So things really aren’t as hard as they seem.

So, rather than begging people for money if you’re desperate or moaning about your lack of funds, get out there and get your hands dirty! It will feel so much better when you earn it yourself.

Good luck in becoming a self made millionaire!
