Links/Pictures Comprimised! Nyx

Profiles and links were compromised once again starting February 18th. Thankfully, with the quick help of HDO VooDooDoll, the situation seemed to be under control and widely known in a matter of minutes.

The hack, known to put the player in hibernation for 30 days, originated as a link with a .php extension. Most of the time, keyloggers and hacks alike use a .php or .exe extension and do not use the extensions known notoriously for pictures and graphics such as .gif, .jpg, .jpeg and .png.

It is a long-time rule of the game that if your account is placed into hibernation, whether or not if done by your own reasoning, you cannot make another account. If done, this will be considered as duping and both accounts will be banned.

As administrators continue to do all they can to keep the game free of hacks, you must continue to do your job as a player to keep your own account safe! Do not open up any links that are provided to you from anyone else but your friend! Also, keep the www.BLhelp.com file checker close by just in case and check any file you find suspicious. If it turns out the file is found to be corrupt, send it immediately to a help desk ticket and report the person who sent it to you.
