Successful Attack or Failed Wipe? Mikamon

Written in cooperation with IAmAldarion

On April 26, on a Sunday afternoon The Clericuzio, in cooperation with Club Boogie, unleashed havoc upon Gentlemen of Fortune. What appeared to become a total crew wipe ended in what seemed like a massive attack. R.I.P. threads were all over the Game Forum as people wondered why GoF had been attacked and whether or not the crew would be dropped. Some called it a successful attack while others claimed it was a failed wipe. The Buzz did its very best to look into the shooting and present you with this promised article.

The attack was set up by both The Clericuzio and Club Boogie. However, the Buzz was unable to get direct information from the attackers, seeing the ones who survived the revenge of Gentlemen of Fortune were banned and any new accounts could not be tracked. Luckily the Buzz was able to have a small chat with one of the shooters during the spree. According to gotmymessage, it was never the intention to wipe GoF, but to cripple them and the actual purpose would become clear in about a week and a half. This was confirmed by an anonymous player who told the Buzz, “The shooting on GoF is only the start of many to come. They will come in waves. it's fun to take them apart this way.” If one goes for the way The Clericuzio views their killings, one would mark them as a successful attack, and possibly even one of many.

Gentlemen of Fortune, on the other hand, believed the attackers did intend to drop the spot. We spoke to FunkySyrrist, who got us some of the views from GoF. He admitted that he expected an attack, although he didn’t know the reason of people not liking his crew, “People obviously don’t like us, don’t know why, we are just a bunch of nice people, BUT Gentlemen of Fortune is playing the game right, we don’t have a spot to look nice like most of crews do. We kinda expected an attack against us, we heard rumors that we gonna be attacked, but didn’t know exactly when that was gonna happen. And I will like to put out a "Missing Person Online" alert... KingdomHeart is missed online...”

FunkySyrrist also told us his view on whether the attackers intended to drop the spot or not, “Our spot didn’t drop, and The Clericuzio and Club Boogie are saying that they never intended to drop us. Just hurt us by killing our ranked members, but still... If they didn’t get banned all of The Clericuzio, they would probably have dropped us, because who the fuck is killing all boss+ without intending to drop us. And yes, they will probably finish of the job.”

So, with this spree both The Clericuzio and Club Boogie showed us that we still have to take them into account. However, Gentlemen of Fortune survived. The question whether that was intended, or not, is yet to be answered.
