BootTV ABVQv2
BootTV is an unofficial bootleggers news-cast voiced by many reporters. It was created and is run by by long-time Bootleggers member, KugFuFranda, previously known as Franchise. Franny (or Franchise) told us why he created BootTV by saying, "I thought it could bring something new to the game and would be fun as well. I designed it like the old bootcasts were it was a news program."

The Buzz wondered if Franny would continue, due to the amount of viewings. He replied, "I'll post one episode per week. Right now they are being posted Tuesday nights but that could change based on my work schedule. As long as there is interest I'll keep posting it. Who knows, bootradio became a feature, maybe this will as well."

Episode 1 was a good watch, well except for that extremely long intro, to which Sabin commented, "The Intro was the worst part is it's WAY too long, a minute is hardly necessary when 10-15 seconds will do. It could also do with an outro, some graphics/effects.", Sabin also took his comment beyond the intro saying "It could possibly make a feature someday, but it would need a lot of development, both technically and for content. Note that we already have the Buzz and BootCast. While the video media is still mostly unexplored, it would need to prove its value beyond what the current features are able to provide. I will keep a good eye on the show, watching further episodes and such."

The Buzz also got a chance to speak to moderator VooDooDoll about BootTV she said, "I did watch a little bit of the episode that Franny posted in the OTF. Its just a visual version of the "Bootleggers Buzz". It's one players opinion on things that happen in the game. Everyone wants their voice to be heard so I can understand why Franny would want to promote this. As far as it being an actual feature on Bootleggers, I don't think it is needed. We have the Buzz and the Bootcast and that seems to be working fine. I also think Franny may want to use it as an outlet to discuss things that we normally wouldn't be allowed to discuss via the forums or the Buzz. This has already been attempted via the other Newspaper (forget what it was called to be honest) so that concept itself its not anything new. But if Franny has the time to create BootTV, more power to him."

The Buzz asked one normal player about his thoughts on the BootTV. Voerd3r said, "I found it very intresting to see someone actually talking into a webcam instead of reading the buzz, I think it's bringing activity in the bootleggers scene and the presentation is good."
