An Interview With David! FrickenChicken

Being a Help Desk Operator on Bootleggers can carry many burdens, but also many advantages. The Buzz got in touch with KamikazeDavid and asked him a few questions on what it is like to be a HDO.

Most players would treasure the day they became a Help Desk Operator, so the Buzz asked David when he became one. He said, "On the morning of March 3, 2009, I awoke to find a BootMail from BSF2000 inviting me to become a Help Desk Operator. I was shocked to say the least, I obviously accepted though! This sounds a bit boring compared to Mika and Sylv getting their positions!"

Many people wonder why they get picked for a promotion, why their name stood out among all others. The Buzz asked David why he thought he was promoted. He said, "I guess the Elite Guard members saw something in me that would be an asset to the Help Desk and the game, I never think of myself to highly so I never like answering questions like that, I am who I am."

Everybody has a favorite moment in life, but what was David's favorite moment as a Help Desk Operator? He said, "It's hard to pin point a specific moment, but I do get a lot of satisfaction from helping solve a players problem whether that is via the helpdesk or BootMail." When asked his least favourite moment as a Help Desk Operator, he said, "I honestly don't think I've had one of those, and that probably sounds like a strange thing to say. The only point that may have come close was after I died when I first became a HDO. There was some issue regarding the new HDO's being automatically re-added, so I had to wait. Although, Sylv helped out by getting everyone to "mark" me to be killed so I stood out on the users online page, and guess what, I got killed!"

Every player has their daily routine on Bootleggers, so the Buzz asked David what his was. He said, "Login, then work through my inbox ignoring the looting BootMails and checking for any questions I may have been sent, then check the Help Desk for any new/updated tickets, after that have a quick check for any new relevant information in the High Rollers Forum and then check my own crew forum. I would probably then try and sort myself out with an OC and then have a look at the forums checking for any inappropriate posts."

After being contacted by BSF2000[/color himself, David became a HDO. He doesn't have a specific favorite moment as a HDO, and his daily routine is that much different than ours. Still he does what he can to help the players of Bootleggers. Thanks for reading.
