Why is my money worthless? Inflation, of course! LordBaelish

Inflation. Every Bootleggers player knows about it, and not just because every single one of us happens to be a Major in Economics. We are all affected by it in some way or another, but mostly because of the decreasing purchasing power of our almighty dollar, the Bootlegger.

Everyone here who was around during the last reset will know exactly what I am talking about. For those of you who are new, points (often a very good indicator of the inflation rate) were selling at around $1,000,000,000 per the point, this would allow all of us to collectively buy 10 points at a discount rate right now. Of course most people would have blamed this on the so-called numerous exploits that once plagued this game. This Bootlegger, however, has a much more simple explanation as to why it happened, and why it will happen again.

For those of you who know me, you'll probably remember how I amassed my vast fortune last reset. It wasn't points trading, it wasn't owning a Bullet Factory, and it certainly wasn't picture making. All I did was simply put my money into the federal bank each day before it closed at 5:00PM. Before long my small bundle of less than one hundred million dollars (a simple figure last reset) was making interest of more than a billion dollars a day. And I know I wasn't the only one taking advantage of this 3% daily growth rate.

This round I have noticed that the administration has struggled to find new ways to keep inflation low, and the purchasing power of your dollar high. All in all it seems to have been working rather well. But because of the exponential growth rate afforded to us by the bank, all will soon return to normal, unfortunately.

At the last, I know I am the last person who should be blaming other people for taking advantage of this generous feature. I base my entire success last round to the federal bank, and that is an understatement at the least. But by doing so, I was one of many people who helped to ruin the economy of this game.

As such, I would urge all of you to discontinue your usage of the bank. But since I've noted that roughtly 80% of the money in this game currently sits within the bank, I know this will not happen. Therefore, if any of you have heeded my words here, I would insist upon you all to advise the Administration to rid our game of this economy destroying device before our game is polluted with useless money and we are forced into yet another game reset.
