Bootleggers' Sound Off! MsNyxxie

I was very happy with this week's response to our Sound-off! Remember, with your opinions and ideas, you can use the power of the media to change the game! These are last week's issue's replies! Please look in the Game Forum for a new debate to have your own opinion placed on the Buzz!

Last Issue's Debate!
Last week's issue, we had confirmation from Sabin that moderators and administrators are allowed to have another account to play with underground. What are your views about this?

"I think it's a good thing, since they became Mod/Admin by playing the game. And i can imagine the job can become boring if your not allowed to play it anymore because of a staff position. And I rather see them playing with another anonymous account, using their real account for normal play would be kinda unfair for the other players."
Appeal

"I think that an admin or moderator who plays underground is a scary thing. They have all the inside information on what can bring them right to the top. Rank points needed to rank, how many rank points they have at the moment, etc. This is definitely a bad thing because hey, it just isn't fair that they have all of the information needed to give them an unfair advantage. If I was BSF2000 I would definitely strike a movement against it because its only a matter of time before he has to fire illegitimate mods for cheating in the game by using the information they have at hand to give them that push to the next level."
UGSB

"As long as they follow the normal dupe rules I'm fine with it. Especially for the admins, this way they can read the forums without all the 'zOMG BSF/Sabin is online' crap"
OhMyRod

"I don't think it counts as having 2 accounts as they cannot "play" with the Mod/Admin accounts. It is kind of like logging on BL when you are at work/school for normal players, you do your job but still play BL"
Vasago

"Its unfair to expect the mods/admins to not have any fun on the game, especially when they are doing their job for free....And so I guess they have the right to have the fun of playing...and you cant just say oh why cant we have two accounts because we're not allowed them because theres a high possibility that we'd cheat with them...the mods and admins are probably kept tabs on (on their other accounts) by Sabin or whatever..and I doubt they would cheat...they spent all that time before they became mod/admins not cheating...why start now... So it's unfair to say oh we should get two accounts as well.."
Z3RO

"There are 2 sides on this story. I do understand that moderators/admins would love to play like a normal player. Try to rank, try to do OC's, gamble and make money. As they have to do their job now, they can't play normal. Other side is that we aren't allowed to have 2 accounts, so why would they be?"
BoomBusta

"It's both a good and bad thing. It's a good thing for the reasons that they can find out information about dupes easier, and so forth. All good. It's bad because they'll feel obliged not to take action against crews of friends of their dupes."
GloriousFailure

"Like many, I feel, that the Moderators and Admins have the right to have a duplicate. For normal, regular players like the rest it is against the TOS, since one can gain some serious advantages with duplicate account. But yourself in their skin, for just a second.
They sign on, and not a second goes bye when they receive their first bootmail, followed by many many others. When scammers and spammers see a Moderator or Admin online, they usually stop doing what they are doing, leaving the Mods and Admins with nothing but he says she says to go by. With a duplicate account, they can log on without being noticed to first inspect what is in fact going on on Bootleggers when they are 'away'. So I support them having duplicate accounts. As long as they use it for their Mod/Admin duty, and do not rank it or use it to play among the general population."
Riserva

"Personally, I think it's setting the wrong impression by letting one have a duplicate account and not anyone else. Why should they be allowed one because their name's in green? They shouldn't. If you're going to have rules, then make everyone abide by them, even your staff. And I know full well, that people will and will always do things to help provide their duplicate account with something they shouldn't. I know one that has done in the past as well."

Did the threat SycoblastReborn gave to attack three individual stat crews scare you? How did you or your crew prepare?
