Annihilation back in green Mika

And there he was again! After an absence that lasted for about two years, the moderator that many liked above all, Annihilation, is back in green.

Of course the return of a moderator is enough for the Buzz to write an article about and Annihilation kindly offered to answer some questions regarding his return. So everything that is to know about his return is in here!

Why did he return? Well; “I always checked back in during my hiatus, created a random account to see how things were going, but for the longest time I saw further decline and no improvement.” Annihilation told me. But! “Then one day I logged in and noticed that there had been another reset, and that the amount of money in game was still decent. Then a few months later I logged in again and saw that the money in game was STILL at a decent level. That's when I decided to return, and well, here I am.” he continued. And there he was indeed. Back in green and ready to participate in running the game along with the other Elite Guard staff members.

Something that lasted throughout his BL-career was his strong friendship alongside Sabin. And that was also what made it possible to be back up in the green coat so soon. Although it wasn't planned that way at first. “Sabin and I have never been out of touch. We're pretty good friends, and when I told him I was back, we joked around a bit about me taking my old job back.” he said.

So... to think only a little joke re-started Annihilation's career as moderator. He continued: “I think he asked me if I had thought about taking my old job back, and I said the thought had occurred to me. He then talked to BSF, and a few weeks later, here I am in green.”

Lots of people that return to Bootleggers after a stop claim to see many changes while a lot of players just laugh and say those people are talking nonsense.
However, according to Annihilation himself, things HAVE changed a lot during his absence. “From what I've seen the staff is a lot more professional and a lot less dramatic. There seems to have been a serious cutback in exploits, and with Sabin as an admin now, I'm very excited that many of the bugs in the game will be worked out as time permits. Like I said up there, the game seems to be at a similar place to where it was when I first started - mostly fair for everyone involved.”

And the professional staff is of course seen as a real improvement. The critics that circle around Sabin are being 'demolished' by Annihilation. “Sabin is running a very tight ship. We have very strict rules, and I'm grateful for it. Because personal judgment has been taken out of the equation, there is a lot less of a chance of people in the Elite Guard doing things just because they feel like it, instead of because it was the right decision.”
And finally he concluded: “I'm not the all powerful mod I was when I left. Not yet, anyway. I have to work my way back up to the top. All in all, I think the job itself is going to be the same, if not easier. I haven't really had much to do in the few days that I've been back. Things seem to be running quite smoothly!”

Things are running smoothly, the first words of a moderator that returned and met nothing but pleased people when he came back. Full of plans of working his way up again within the Elite Guard, Annihilation returned to Bootleggers, and we are happy he did!
