Can You Hear Me Now? JustDrew

Have you ever been muted in the forums? Ever wondered why you received a mute? I know that as a Help Desk Operator (HDO) the feature has been annoying at times. When we mute a player we usually have to send them a message explaining what they did wrong or answer the message that we immediately receive from the player upon realizing that they have been muted. There’s got to be an easier way right?

If you said yes you are correct! During previous mutes, the white comment box at the forums would appear grayed out. It simply said something to the effect of “You are unable to post because you have been muted by this person. Time left remaining 00:00:00.” This method left most players with no idea why they had received the mute. This past week the feature was updated, making it easier on both parties involved in the mute process.

From now on, muted players are more informed of the situation. When you go into a forum thread, there is no comment box at the bottom. Instead you will notice a gray box that explains the situation. It now says, “You are unable to post because you have been muted by this person. Time until you may post: 00:00:00.” The new changes are noticed below where it now says, “Post which caused the mute” and displays the actual post in its entirety.

This new addition makes it an easier job for the Help Desk Operators on the game and should leave no questions as to why a player has been muted. Hopefully most of you will only read about this without receiving the full experience.
