Family Comes First Deuce

Children from various parts of the world play a game known as hot potato. The concept of the game is quite simple. An item is tossed back and forth among the children while music is played. As the music stops, the child caught holding this item is out or eliminated from the game. Just weeks into the new round, a similar game is taking place here on Bootleggers. Some of you may recognize the item as the Colorado Bullet Factory. Our song may be silent, but the results are similar. Multiple players have been caught holding this item only to find their account eliminated from our game.

Our version of the game began on the sixteenth of November around lunchtime. Veritas, Boss of The Constant was shot for the property by a member of Eternal Labyrinth. Once Eternal Labyrinth had possession of the Bullet Factory, they found themselves falling victim to the game as multiple members were shot, resulting in the loss of their crew spot. For specific information on these events, please read Lordwell's article "The first spree of round 6" from issue three of the Bootleggers Buzz.

The song quietly began to play again as a member of The Family picked up the Bullet Factory following the shootings of Eternal Labyrinth. Members of The Constant felt at the time that this would be acceptable in case there was a retaliation from Eternal Labyrinth and to be fair, they felt that The Family should be given a few days to hold on and make back the money that they lost by picking up the Bullet Factory in the first place. From this point, the story changes between both crews as to what actually occurred, resulting in The Constant's fall from the statistics page.

Veritas a.k.a. RedHerrings, Boss of The Constant took a moment to speak to me in regards to the situation surrounding the Bullet Factory. When the return of the Bullet Factory was called for, "they prolonged the holding of it by making ridiculous excuses" he explained to me. To make matters worse, an unknown source passed along information that The Family were considering the idea of keeping the Bullet Factory and would be shooting members of The Constant to allow this. "We continued to trust them, but then we gathered sufficient evidence that they were intent on shooting the members we had on the stats" explained RedHerrings.

A plan of action was quickly put into place and members of The Constant began searching members of The Family. Unfortunately, it was a little bit too late for an attempt to take back the Bullet Factoy. "They back-stabbed us, foolishly shot the members on the stats," RedHerrings explained, "forgetting we have another 25-30 members outside of the crew." The bullet factory wasn't held long after the attacks, which resulted in the loss of fourteen accounts from The Constant. "They then realized that them holding the bullet factories would be a bad idea and sold ours to The Myrmidons" RedHerrings explained.

With the Bullet Factory in new hands, the game would continue a little bit longer. Achilles, boss of The Myrmidons and the new holder, was shot in the early afternoon of the twenty-fourth of November. The Bullet Factory was then picked up by Gathering of Gangsters where is still sits, waiting for the game to resume. As there are always two sides to every story, I contacted Ton, Boss and Co-Founder of The Family.

"They didn't have the cash to pick it back up," Ton explained, adding "our agreement was me holding it for five days earning my million back plus profits." This agreement appeared to be short lived though. "After one day he (RedHerrings) wanted it back. We told him to stick to it," Ton explained to me but then "a day later he put an insider among us." The identity of this insider was not revealed during the interview. As a result of the apparent insider, members of The Family kicked it into high gear, starting searches and ending the lives of fourteen members of The Constant, watching the crew spot fall from their hands.

Clearly a lack of trust had started the latest installment of the game. "We had an agreement and they started to not trust us after the first day." Ton confirmed that the insider was the end of the agreement, stating "what they did made us shoot them." Once the shooting had ceased, it was decided upon to sell the Bullet Factory. Achilles bought it for The Myrmidons ultimately resulting in his death. What does each of the crews have planned for the near future? The Family have shown interest in the Bullet Factory as Ton added "I might buy it back soon since I've heard it's for sale." A different goal appears to be in the works by members of The Constant. "As for what The Constant plan on doing, well, you will see in a short matter of time that nothing is infinite, change in inevitable, and yet we are The Constant" RedHerrings explained to me.

I'd like to take a moment to thank both RedHerrings and Ton for speaking to me about this attack. We at the Buzz would like to wish both of your crew's success during round six. To the readers, thank you for taking the time to read our publication each week. Until next time, stay classy Bootleggers.
