The Regulators Return Under a Different Guise! lordwell

In previous weeks, there has been a rumour that members of The Regulators were getting back together. These rumours were proved to be correct when they took control of crewspot number two, formerly owned by Eternal Labyrinth. The crew profile now reads, "Welcome to the future home of the old Regulators with a new name. Pardon our mess while we rank and bank. We'll see you soon!"

We got in contact with the current holder of the crewspot, Gunchip, to ask some questions about The Regulators' return. He said he couldn't answer the questions himself but could forward them to Silky, one of the current Bosses, currently underground. We started off with asking why The Regulators decided to get back together. Silky answered, "I think it was mainly the perfect storm of most of our players being away from the game long enough to where we're at a point where enough of us are rejuvenated as far as being motivated to play the game. We no longer truly have a legacy that will follow us, everything we get going forward is going to be unique and I think that intrigued a lot of us.

We then moved onto asking why they decided to form under a different name, as opposed to sticking with 'The Regulators'. We were informed, "Everyone has different memories of what The Regulators were at one point. With those individual memories come individual expectations. If those individual memories and expectations aren't met, it becomes more difficult to move forward as a group of one." We were then told, "Our return is not because we want to relive the past, but because we want to build a future out of the ashes that remain from that great past."

We turned to the issue of leadership and questioned whether there would be a change of leadership. Silky told us, "We have had a ton of different forms of leadership in the past. Right now, we have a Leadership group that incorporates so many strong members and leaders from our past." He went on to say, "Right now we have Acadia and myself at the top. Which, I think it is strong to have two of the founding members of The Regulators back involved. With Acadia controlling the crew spot and myself putting together an underground wing of the enterprise. It gives us a lot of options. On top of that, I think our council is one of the most experienced out there. You can't ask for more as everyone in the leadership tends to step up and fill their lanes when the time comes." It seems the members are serious in becoming very strong again with ranks both underground and in the crewspot.

We then came to our final question, asking if there was any potential applicants looking to join, what the types of things they would be looking for. We were told, "The things I consider the most from new members is whether I think that person can at least consider strategic decisions. If I go to the newest member of the crew and ask him "should we shoot this target?" He should be able to put forward an opinion and argue on behalf of that opinion. Also, be able to take a joke, make a joke and have fun in between all else." Silky went on to mention, "However, the main thing we are looking for are people that are ready to play the game. If your goal is to become a State Don, this is not the crew to apply to. Hell, if you're looking to become a Legendary Don, this is not the crew to apply to. If you want in, you will have to understand that the nature of what we do will not be conducive to sitting on your ass for months at a time. We've always played this game with an aggressive edge. Mean spirited by no means, but revenge always guaranteed."

The motto remains, revenge guaranteed. Will a group decide to challenge this reformed group? Will this motton remain true? How long will it be before we see action which challenges this commence? A lot of questions, of which the answers will become apparent over the next few months. Before he went, Silky added, "Acadia told me to make sure I passed along this link, http://tiddies.ytmnd.com/. And thanks. We look forward to trying our hand at this game once again. The game has changed quite a bit and we hope that we are able to compete with the best that this round has to offer."

From everyone here at the Buzz, we wish the old Regulators a welcome return to Bootleggers, whatever their name will become!
