Welcome to Issue #96 of the Bootleggers Buzz, the last Issue of 2013.
What an amazing year! 2013, a year of awesome events, but also a year of another dominating situation on Bootleggers. The entire year the Buzz Team reported all the amazing events for you including some great columns. Whether you wrote a freelance article or were a Buzz Writer for months, I want to thank all the players who contributed their time, dedication and effort to improve the quality of the Bootleggers Buzz. It was not always easy to publish a fancy issue together, but I believe it was definitely a successful year. Once again, thank you very much for your time, dedication and effort. Alright, now it is time to cover the events of the last two weeks, because we witnessed plenty of action. Plenty!
Let’s start with the Christmas Event; the ornament hunt. The past weeks all the players on Bootleggers had the ability to collect ornaments. Between December 24th and December 26th everyone was able to trade his/her collected ornaments for some fancy game items, including an instant promotion to Godfather/Don with a nice amount of bullets. The entire event resulted in plenty of deaths and a lot uproar on the forums of Bootleggers. The event was called ‘‘more beneficial for lower ranks and an attempt of the Moderators to help the lazy and weak players on Bootleggers.’’ Whether you call this event unfair or not, it definitely resulted in plenty of action. Check out the articles regarding the ornament hunt for more information!
That is not it, we also witnessed a move of Octavio, which you may know as the ex-Colorado State Don. Does not ring any bells? Well, last week he was able to kill all the State Dons who had more experience than him, including the long standing Nation Don, DevillSpawN. His timing of the shooting was perfect, as a few hours after his shooting he received an invite to become the new Nation Don of Bootleggers. Some players call it a brave move, some call it pathetic and suicide. Read the article regarding this event, it is definitely worth your time!
What about the Buzz Awards 2013?! Yeah, we officially have our winners! I’d like to thank all the amazing players who voted and contributed to this amazing event. The Bootleggers Buzz Awards wouldn’t be so amazing without you all. Finally, I also want to thank Aldarion for creating the Buzz Awards 2013, they look amazing! In case you won a Buzz Award, I’d like to congratulate you on behalf of the entire Buzz Team and I wish you the best of luck with defending your title.
Finally, we have an awesome give-away to celebrate the year 2013. We at the Buzz created a crossword puzzle, which gives you a small overview of some of the events which occurred in 2013. The first player who submits the correct answers will win $10,000,000. The second player receives a prize of $5,000,000 and the third player receives a fancy amount of $2,000,000. That leaves us with $1,000,000 for a random contestant! The winners will be announced in the next issue of the Bootleggers Buzz!
Since this is the last issue of 2013, I wish you all a happy year and I truly hope you enjoy this amazing issue. The Bootleggers Buzz will definitely be here in the next year to provide you even more and awesome articles than this year. Enjoy and for now, have a good Sunday!
