Issue: 10   Editor: Mika

Editors note Mika

Welcome to issue 10 of the Bootleggers Buzz!

Yay! The Buzz has hit the double digits, and with the double digits (something new), we introduce you to our former style (something old). We were very grateful for all the feedback we received on the style that was used in issue nine, and after discussing the matter there has been decided to return to our former style of writing for at least the articles that bring you the news on recent events. This way we know for sure the information is easily accessible for everyone.

This issue, however, also includes a new aspect; the column. The idea is to allow our writers to cover a subject of choice and report on it in a way they like. These columns can be recognized by the large “COLUMN:”, followed by the title of the article. We hope the columns will attract a larger amount of readers as they can cover more controversial topics and can spark a discussion or contribute to it. That is all that is 'new' in this issue, now lets move on to the articles in this issue!

The Vanguard and the Syndicate were two names that came by this week, after a feud that some may not have noticed, the attempt of The Syndicate to wipe its opponent was certainly noticed this time, especially when points used suddenly became unverified, according to the shooters. A lucky escape of The Vanguard, and if so, will this luck last? Hell's Angels honored its name as its members were sent to the Bootleggers hell by Silent Requiem.

As already mentioned, the Buzz will be featuring columns this week. The first two, of what will hopefully be a large amount, will cover the 'new' crime system that now requires a lot of attempts before one actually improves. A challenge that is just as attractive as “as walking from East-coast to West-coast for just twenty bucks.” Furthermore we also have a column on the recent events regarding BSF, Sabin, Nyxxie, comics and... errm, let me see, we had more... oh, right, the Buzz itself. Because it is a column, the writer his opinion is of course included and we welcome everyone to debate on both of the columns.

A Buzz issue would be less interesting without weekly segments, and this week we are proud to announce the return of 'Crew of the Week'. Of course all other weekly segments are also included, 'Behind the Name', 'The Weekly Flash' and 'Bootleggers Game Statistics' are in this issue as well.

With our Buzz Staff reduced, we are looking for writers more actively. If you would like to become a Bootleggers Buzz writer then feel free to submit an application article on a recent game event via the 'Application' option on the bottom of this page. Bear in mind choice of subject, grammar and punctuation. We will try to review and reply all applications, both former and future, in a timely manner.

Feel like writing an article of your own, but not willing to actually join the team? Submit a freelance article! You can write about whatever is on your mind, as long as it is game related. A great way to voice your opinion or to start a debate. To submit a freelance article, simply go to the bottom of this page and select 'Freelance article' in the drop menu.

As always I hope you will comment on- and rate the written articles. The Buzz team appreciates all feedback and reviews it carefully. Well, enjoy the read, take care, and stay safe.

Going, going, staying?! Alcaeus

The silence of a largely uneventful week was broken as The Vanguard came under fire. A wipe seemed imminent, however, after taking out the majority of high ranked members of the crew, the shooting stopped abruptly, which lead to more controversial claims in the Game Forum.
